I started my career in advertising. There, the main lesson I learned about clients is that they are adversaries of creative people, of good ideas. Unlearning this lesson unlocked my growth as a creative person. In its place, I embraced a belief that I can learn from anyone. This let me see clients as who they really are: among the most expert people on the planet in their respective fields. Today, I try to remain attuned to how lucky I am to work alongside our clients, to learn from them, and to share what I’ve learned with them.
Every collaboration is a gift, wholly unique to the time, place, and people we bring together.I believe that in a truly creative environment, there are no adversaries.
